How to search for an existing client
Step 1: To search for an existing client, first open the βClients" Form by clicking βSettlementβ on the yellow navigation bar in the top left corner, then click βClients (28)β.

Step 2: Once the Clients Form is open, click the βSearchβ button on the dark blue bar. This will make the form editable, allowing you to enter information to search for clients.

Step 3: Enter the criteria for your search. For example, you can enter the client's first and last names in the First Name and Last Name fields.

Step 4: Click the "Search" button at the bottom center once your search criteria is entered. The search will then be performed.

If multiple matches were found, a list of all matching clients will appear. If this occurs, double-clicking on a client from the list will select their form.

If a client form appears and is populated with data, then your search is complete.

Example 1: A search with multiple results
- Perform steps 1 and 2 as outlined at the top of this article.
- Click the "Immigration" tab below the First Name field.
- Beside "Status in Canada", click on the dropdown and select "Canadian Citizen"
- Click the "Search" button at the bottom center of the form.
- A list of all clients recorded as Canadian Citizens appears. In our example, our system finds multiple Canadian Citizen clients.

- At the very top of this list are filters that can be applied to the list. Below "Name", click inside of a filter and type the first or last name of the client you are searching for. You will see the filtering apply as you type.

- Double-click on a client from the list to select their form. Once selected, their form will open and your search will be complete.
